Cloud computing is the on-demand delivery of IT resources and applications via Internet. In cloud computing, you will pay for what you use this is called as pay-as-you-go pricing.
With cloud computing, you don’t need to make large up-front investments in hardware and there is no need to spend a lot of time managing that hardware. Instead, you can access as many cloud resources as you need, almost instantly, and only pay for what you use.
In its simplest form, cloud computing provides an easy way to access servers, storage, databases and application services over the internet. Cloud computing providers own and maintain the network-connected hardware required for these application services, while you provision and use whatever resources you need.
Now a days, there are couple of Cloud Service Providers as below,
- Microsoft Azure
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Google Cloud
- Alibaba Cloud
- IBM Cloud
- Oracle
- Rackspace Cloud
There are also some other cloud service providers but above mentioned are the most used cloud service providers. In future there may arrive some other cloud service providers.
VMware also provides cloud services, but VMware Cloud on AWS is an integrated cloud offering jointly developed by Amazon Web Services (AWS) and VMware.
